Miami Heat Losing Streak

I see a big difference in the way the Miami Heat play with Lebron James and without Lebron James. This Heat team relies on King James to win ball games, not only do they lean on Dwyane Wade and/or Chris Bosh. With Lebron out with a left ankle injury, the Heat succumbed to losses to teams like the LA Clippers and the Denver Nuggets, giving up 111 points and 130 points, respectively. If I were the Miami Heat and defining success easily, I would not give up hope that the Heat can win ballgames without Lebron James. Dwyane Wade commented that they were clearly missing their team captain and floor leader. I can see very clear that Miami took their success early enough in the season for granted, knowing that the Heat have a trio of superstars in Chris Bosh, Wade, and James. With James out now, Miami clearly has to lean on Wade and Bosh to bail them out of ball games now. I wonder if this is a losing streak because the Heat don't have Lebron James playing for them or if they are just riding the coattails of their three superstars. Either way, I see the Heat falling apart as a team and just not playing like a real basketball team now. They are scrambling for basketball plays and just not uniting as a team on the offensive and defensive end. If I were to describe the Miami Heat as a team now, "falling apart."

The Heatles

I think the Heatles is a great name for the Miami Heat trio or you might call them the 'triumvirate of stars.' Lebron James appropriately named his Heat team after the Beatles because they were a rock band. I can see Erik Spoelstra being called Sergeant Spoelstra in the song, "Sgt. Spoelstra's Lonely Hearts Club Band," and a song being terminated from the Heatles if it could happen to anyone, "I Want to Hold Your Early Termination Option." King James would make a good John Lennon, Dwyane Wade a Paul McCartney, and Chris Bosh, George Harrison. If anything, I would like to know who Yoko Ono is for this one and step up for this band of brothers. That's another name I'd like to call the Miami Heat. They've bonded together since training camp that I can see them clearly getting along with each other as they have had each other's backs in games played together. They're like soldiers holding each other up in combat. If one falls, they all falter. So goes the saying from the three musketeers, "All for one and one for all." If Erik Spoelstra can hold up this team by the playoffs, eventually they'll be almost at the top of the mountain as a united team holding up the Larry O'Brien trophy. I'm looking forward to seeing the Miami Heat as a team with King James, Flash, and CB4 winning multiple championships for the next nine seasons. Let's see.

New Year's Resolution

Am I glad to see the New Year again. Hello, 2011. Hello Miami Heat and their first win of 2011. Thank you, Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh for their fantastic performances of the first game of the new year. They beat the Golden State Warriors 114-107. I am glad that King James, Flash, and CB4 started off the year for their first victory. Now that I am cynically glad that the Heat have gotten their act together quickly than my heart can beat its pulse, I am looking forward to seeing them contend for a title. As for Kobe Bryant and his Lakers are concerned, I am confident to write that Kobe Bryant's downfall as a basketball player will decline not because of age-related issues to his NBA career, but because of his stubbornness to be able to defer to teammates, not his selfishness. This will drive Kobe's star power somewhat of a decline a bit. This gives NBA audiences all over the world something to think about. Does Kobe Bryant want us to know how stubborn he can be in front of the media and yet not want to defer to his teammates to win ball games? This is something Kobe Bryant might want to keep a personal diary for. I am afraid for now, that Kobe Bryant and his teammates are in for a long ride back to the NBA championship, if not for Bryant's stubbornness to resurface again and again as time goes on. I really like the Bulls' chances of winning the NBA title, especially with Derrick Rose's poise as the Bulls' leader for the regular season and post season. When Joakim Noah comes from his injury, the Bulls will be a wrecking crew to be dealt with. They will have full strength again with Rose running the point and Noah to play defense and grab rebounds. My dark horse for the NBA playoffs if the team does make it is the Houston Rockets. I love the way they slack around the ball game and yet still make a stand to climb back into the scoreboard with their intangibles. I really think their team is a lot better than their record shows. With a Rockets squad that has a team player like Shane Battier, a work horse like Chuck Hayes, a power forward and scorer in Luis Scola, and a scorer in Kevin Martin, I think the Houston Rockets can be a force to be reckoned with, because they do rely on their hard work to win ball games.
